In a future where Earths resources have been deleted, humanity relies on the Explorer’s guild to discover and colonize new worlds.
Senior Explorer Anya Tyszko and her apprentice, Sulligan embark on a First Landing mission to a barren world that once supported life. Their goal is to map. Explore and establish a base for future missions.
As Anya and Sulligan explore the planet they discover the ruins of an ancient civilization, mysterious glyphs and evidence of a catastrophic event that ended life on the planet.
Their discoveries raise questions about the fate of the lost world’s the Guild has discovered, and the possibility of finding living cultures beyond the Earth and its colonies.
The Explorers face technological challenges, psychological strain and the ever present danger of the unknown.
Meanwhile, Anya’s husband Gustof, an agricultural researcher for the Guild, struggles with loneliness and paranoia back on Earth. His green house is sabotaged with a hallucinogenic spore, leading to a tense investigation that reveals a conspiracy inside the Guild.
Throughout all of this Anya and Gustof’s love and psychic bond endures across the cosmos and, together with Sulligan they address humanity, affirming a new era of exploration, cooperation and hope for the future.

The White, a mutated inhuman offspring of man, immediately attack the survivors. Deformed with translucent bodies, they are led by their Myk and survive by eating their preferred choice, living human beings.
Two thousand years earlier, the Teachers, travelers from beyond the Earth, saved what they could of Earths population in the aftermath of an Armageddon they couldn't stop. Their servants, selected from the best of Earths survivors after 1000 years underground, The Order of the Sage, work to follow the prophesies that the Teacher laid before them.
A catalyst for change in this world, the traders of The Proctantfind their paths predestined. Initially divided, they come together once more, becoming the spearhead bringing this world together into a future meticulously crafted by the Teachers long ago.

Have you ever wanted to escape life so badly that you simply created your own universe and escaped into it? Eller, the protagonist of a new book by Casey Robert Swanson, does just that, and it's a fantastic ride along.
Beyond the Fears of Tomorrow follows Eller as he slips into the dark void of his own creation and generates another world from his dreams. Desiring to create a perfect universe, he starts to sculpt the Home Planet, his reincarnation of Earth. Swanson gives a glimpse into the primordial plains and forests of our own world as he depicts this act of creation. The inhabitants of this world are then born from his memories.
We find Eller playing god with his new race of people, and helping them along, Sid Meiers-style, as they build civilizations and reach out to new planets.
Everything goes dreamily until a new race, the Swarm, is born from Eller's foul memories of our world. In the end, Eller is jettisoned back into reality, but not before watching an alien starship invasion, an emperor’s assassination by nuclear weaponry, and a priestly thought-bomb ravage his world.
The most remarkable facets of this work are its length (the book can easily be read in a single sitting), and its poetic form.
“Beyond the Fears of Tomorrow” is written in verse, making it feel like a classical legend, a Homeresque epic. While enjoying this science-fantasy existential romp, you'll find yourself in Eller's place, filling in the stretches of history and exploration with your own fantasies. Your thoughts on creation, imagination, and perhaps even spirituality will be challenged and stretched.
Swanson does a remarkable job of not only putting Eller's story on paper, but also involving the reader in his actions. Anyone with half a taste for sci-fantasy or free-verse poetry will want to pick of a copy of this fantastic book.

Here is where I will list the proven resources I have used as a Traditional Publisher, Author, Editor, and Self-Published Author
Total Print Systems
Here is a great place to get you books printed if you can afford several hundred dollars at a time. I print off 250 copies at a time for my book events and save $2-$4 over on demand printing sources. And that includes my cost of freight. High copy digital ink printing. I won't go anywhere's else.
Upwork
Here is where I get quality cost editing I can afford. There is a tremendous range of editors and price. I edited on this site for over 4 years as a top rated editor there. I only use editors that understand old-school Chicago-style grammar. I never use AI for my grammar checks. Even the best AI programs make a lot of mistakes.
Author in Grocery
www.authorsingrocerystores.com
A wonderfful program for getting yourself out there with your books. I ran eleven events to launch myself in 2025 and averaged 22 books sold per event. In 2026 so far I have scheduled over 35 events. I plan to have more. Mention me to the program and I get a referral bonus.
Bowker
I get all of my ISBN's here. You could need 4-5 per book, from them as well as the barcodes. I piurchae 10 at a time. Puts my books into Books-in Print-and all of the other book sources out there.
Independent Book Publishers Association
This is a great organiztion for knowledge and marketing. Their classes can teach you a lot about the whole book publishing industry. I use them for all of their programs.
Smashwords is a great way to get you ebook into most of the ebook formats. I met them when they started up in 2008 and they are doing an even better job today.
Independent book stores are the lifeblood of our reading. If they are not carrying the book you want they can get it for you just as readily as Amazon. Support Indy Bookstores.
